You showed up in our lives in 2007, and we decided that September 19^th will be your birthday.

So today we celebrate you: our black whiskered friend!

Girls bed time routine

Dah dah is working late. We are treating ourselves :)

Exxopolis at Grand Park

Laurel and I took the train to downtown to walk inside of an art
installation called exxopolis. It's like a giant tent with different
rooms in dif colors.

It was free. Sponsored by the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (theater) an
at Grand Park (that my office designed). Fun! Fun! And long lines, but
we were smart about it and did well ;)

Tropical tart!

I gathered 3 recipes to make this tart, and with the best helper ever
it came out amazing!

Mango (that laurel enjoyed to eat a lot with a makeshift kitchen towel
apron) pineapple and lime zest. Over a custard with Brugal rum and a
home made buttery crust!

We also made savory bread puddings for the week ;)

It was a fun Labor Day !
