Jersey shore chicks

Look at the monkey by the shore on her first bathing suit!

We arrived to the beach after trying almost every day of the trip to get there, only to find that people were leaving the beach in herds. "What's going on?" "Beach is close due to storm at sea". Ok, let's sneak in some shots (more to come later) ... then on the news we heard that there was tornado warnings!

I think the weather radar got confused by the ruffles on Laurel's bathing suit! She was causing waves with her cute look!

Thanks to Ali and Mark for the cute as a button piece. We had people asking about it and Laurel really loves it!

Laurel's first shoe store experience!

We tried on a silver one, a gold one and a white with flowers one and she complaint, whimpered.

Guess which one was her first happy one? The red one! She then was so happy she crawled all over the store.

And which one did we choose?!
The multicolored one! She loved it!

It was fun!

A weekend with dadah!

This weekend I went away to Palm Springs for Rachel's bachelorette. Last weekend Jeff went away to a lake fishing for Randy's bachelor party.

And so Laurel spent her first 2 nights and a full day without mom and just dadah!

They got along great and we are so happy about their new little tricks, games and connections that they made. Its very sweet to hear the stories and to see how much they both enjoyed themselves.

This picture I took when I got back. I missed my monkey! But it was fun to be away with my girlfriends for a change!

Laurel can spot birds!
Here she enjoyed the action between a Coopers Hawk, perched on the pole, and a mocking bird that was swooping on it.

She points to the sky "duh". That's her that, there.

Convenient healthy snack

Greens. Fruit. Organic. Easy for on the go. Just if she would figure out not to squeeze it so hard when I hand it to her, she would save 1/4 of the contents from always ending on her clothes!

Meals. One day alone.

I didn't do too bad yesterday!

The huge salad (which measured 12" x 6" x 2") with plenty of fruits and red snapper fish buried in there.

Then I made my first full meal INSIDE the home! An awesome vietnamese inspired chicken soup. I couldn't stop eating it!

Unconditional love

This is how you find it out:

Not at marriage, you promise you'll do.
Not at birth, you think you do.

But when this gorgeous, now one year old, chews on a little piece of steak for 5 minutes and gets tired of trying and sends it back out. You without hesitation just pop it in your mouth and enjoy it.
