my monkey and my project

BRING YOUR MONKEY TO WORK DAY!

Laurel is enjoying a snack on the fancy Richard Schultz 1966 furniture line we spec’d for the roof deck of my (NGPA) project Indian Paintbrush Productions.  Which won a citation at the 2011 Westside Urban Forum Design Awards (congrats me!).  Currently we are designing to plant the heck out of the interiors and the roof garden. Hopefully I can upload those pictures soon!  For now we are doing some small planters to get the clients exited for a huge investment in fancy pots and large trees on tha' roof!

The night time shot was taken by a professional photographer… credits to him/her!

New tricks!

Can climb on and off the chair in our bedroom, all by herself! And loves to pick up our night story book that I keep there to read every night. She is starting to tell the story!

Pardon the aqua on aqua theme of the day!

Jeff took this pictures last saturday :)

Tonight

Monkey played with the plastic containers while I made us dinner. Jeff is working late tonight. Most likely I will be doing the same tomorrow night.

She ate everything. Carrots and zucchini were the most popular ones.

Insert snack

Laurel woke up to find us having lunch:
Polenta fritters with fresh mozzarella and a marinara of italian sausage and portobella mushrooms. She loves eating with us and would eat almost anything that way.

Overwhelmed by wine!

I am home "alone" tonight (jkk playing softball, monkey asleep) and I badly wanted something to drink with my asian style salmon and broccoli with oyster sauce dinner. Sake would have been perfect. Even a 7-up with fresh ginger or bitters. But I had none of that. And so I opened 1 of the 2 mysterious gifted bottles from Laurels bday/room crash reveal party.

I chose the screw top one. Must be the cheapest one....

Holly molly! I knew I would like it.
Just up my alley: central california, paso robles, 2007 sounded promising (and so was the other one, also 07), but the best part was the blend: syrah, mourvedre (?), grenache (spanish varietal that's becoming increasingly popular. I LOVE blends and specially those with syrah or petitte syrah.

But oh! My! I'm not only love it. I'm shocked at my find! This vintage is sold out at the producing winery. Villa Creek. It has over 90 points in ratings and its around $40. I don't drink that kind of wine! I'm cheap!!

Not complaining! Just wish I had a gang of friends here (yeah, the one night I look forward to solo time) to share in my luck!

Thank you mysterious friend. I have a handful of peeps I think may have brought it. But I don't know for sure!

Next party I will document this things!

So, if you are the one: I LOVE you back and thank you! Let me know it was you. Would love to just have the chance to give you a hug!

.... Not so drunk! Just happy!
