Friday we sent a monkey with a runny nose to preschool hoping they
wouldn't mind since we kept her home all week. But they did mind.
And I picked her up with a cool new hair do!

Our lovely neighbor and sitter, Tara. Has made this month of
transition for Laurel's school so easy. This week she came thru huge,
taking care of our runny nose monkey 4 days in a row.

A match in made in Aven's heaven!

I'm thinking this much cuteness wasn't a great idea, although it was
delicious and cute! But after a very late nap and a lingering cold,
sharing an ice cream cookie after 830 pm may backfire on me within
half an hour (bed time) !!!!!!!

Glorious morning

Are the words my new wonderful boss Mark Rios says every Tuesday morning on our 7am site meetings. And it certainly always is. But today seeing the day rise earlier than last week gave me a happy bolt of energy.

Most amazing weekend!

We had a lovely winter storm Saturday night and all morning. And I rejoice in the rain kissing my baby native garden. I also was able to convince jeff to allow me to sleep in ( a bit ). And I snoozed a little longer while hearing them have fun with breakfast.

Then we all lounged around. Did some crafts and saw the day turn from grey and cloudy to bright blue and perfectly clear.

Thanks to us being able to reinstate our cleaning lady Carolina (after a 3 plus year hiatus) we had the first weekend were cleaning the house wasn't looming over our shoulders. Such a relief!

In the afternoon we went to Jane and Eliot's baby shower (yay! More close friends with babies). And we got to see all of our good close friends. But laurel ended up being the star of the evening making the last few friends left laugh and feel so happy about the new baby coming.

Jeff made an amazing pasta, white beam, chicken and tomato sauce dinner in a flash! Love having such a cook for my best friend!

Sunday: i went for a 1.5 hour restorative yoga class that lasted 3 hours. Pure joy and sooo needed after a 5 month hiatus. Best part, finally found my yoga place. This is it! Finally!

When I got home, laurel was sleeping. And after a delicious salad I too took a nap!

Jeff spent the morning with his Monx. Did the groceries, so sweet! And went to watch the giants WIN their way to the super bowl!

Best weekend in a long long time!
