Day 12: last day! Part 2

Beto comes to give his Kiki (already in pjs) a big hug good bye!

Day 12: last day! Part 1

We go down to an idyllic California beach: El Matador in search of
tide pools. We found a crazy looking sea cucumber, anemone, little
crab. We saw a school of dolphins and 3 large army helicopters have
Nico dancing in the shore!

Day 11: Kiki + Nico take a brake!

It's Sunday. We are all tired and found the best way to splurge: pedis!

Don't miss nico's relaxed face and laurel's perfectly painted toes on
picture #2 !!!

Day 10: Kiki and Nico LA LA Land!

It's Saturday and so we go down to watch the madness unfold at Venice
beach's board walk with the intention to make it to the long beach
aquarium. But the boardwalk turned into a lot of fun (and time) and so
we head back to the top of the hills : the observatory!

Our kiddos have bonded beyond expectation and are now almost twins! ;)

Day 9: Kiki + Nico in Legoland!

It's laurels first amusement park. And she loved it. But so did we
all. The huge smiles are in every picture!

Day 8: kiki + nico enjoy the tar pit and bubbles

Kiki and Nico learn about the ice age animals of our city. Raise a
huge rock. Squeeze the last day of their metro pass for some awesome
wholesome ice cream and yummy Peruvian sandwiches at the south pas
farmers market. Nico has a blast with big bubbles too!

Days 6-7: Kiki and Nico explore LA

Kiki and Nico roam around in the Metro rail

They went back to the Natural History Museum on day 6. And explored
Hollywood on day 7.

We are aiming to be back at work and school but wishing we could be
with them! Although seems like Laurel had a fun day at La Casita
Verde and Nico enjoyed the kiddy slide there too!

Day 3-4: the first kiki+nico weekend

Chilling at home. Outlet mall shopping. Framers market. A good dose of
grilling and chilling!

Day 2: Kiki + Nico: dinosaurios!

Today we went to the Natural History Museum via Metro rail. It was a
fun trip. And Nico was in dino heaven!

Things are blooming for my Kiki!!!!

Finally!!!!

It has been +3 years on the ground, and all the plants that have dragged to bloom are doing so for Kiki and Nico’s visit

My banksias are staring to bloom!

I can't wait to see the big bright yellow candelabras! Just like the pictured here from Nancy Power's office.

And so are our Aloe arborescence (Torch aloes) the humming birds are already enjoying them (finally, finally I have more flowers for them!!!!)

I remember being pregnant, and packing the mini to the brim, and I mean to the brim!  with aloe clippings from a neighbor who had done a massive cleaning in his slope… unfortunately I can't find pictures of that moment…  but I'm sure I had a blast :)

and I can’t wait to receive Kiki and Nico in our home tonight!!
