Jeff really enjoyed his morning with his tooth lady -not that he needed any more incentive to enjoy his favorite babe ;)
He also loved the adorable hand-knitted sweater. Our friend Hilary (who's baby Sydney has great taste in clothes) gave it to us as a hand-me-down of a hand-me-down! How lucky are we!?
I must say, even Flora was smitten by the outfit! She told me how those colors looked so good on her. "The yellow, grey and the blue, all were great".... "purple, brown and oh my gosh, white! Just look gorgeous on Laurel, with those pretty eyes".

She jibbers and jabbers as she goes from the 'designated' play area of the living room rug, to the kitchen low shelves (her favorite spot: a bowl of old Halloween candy and take out menus), to anything else laying around.
She just found the book shelve by stairs... Ah!

Not so romantic, part 2
Jeff working all day on a saturday, after working 74 hours last week, and I'm sure as much, if not more this week. And the week before that, and the week trip to China...
And you wonder why he can't install a sink? When?! He barely sees his house let alone have time to work on it.
But wish on your lucky stars this are the last days of this sad story!!! As I feel it in my bones our lives are about to change for the better!

Gardens of Montecito Heights
Today was the annual neighborhood association fund raiser garden tour. Its a great way to meet our neighbors and also see what grows well in our slopes.
Laurel and I had a fun time and she melted some of our neighbor's hearts!

Box of organic produce!
Its exciting not only to get really fresh, organic, healthy looking veggies and fruits but also to get stuff we normally don't get, like today we got beets!
We also got oranges, apples, thick asparagus, butter lettuce, swiss char and as you can tell artichokes.

Revolutionary military crawl!
She still does a military crawl, but now she steadily gets on her hands and knees. Then she is able to sit up and crawl again from sitting. She is also able to pull herself up onto a couch or a shelve and throw down everything within reach! At some points she let's go her hands and by resting her weight onto the ledge she is able to stay standing... Which means more things come flying off the shelf!
And now she is really getting good at walking in between our legs.
It won't be long!

BATTLE LA
All day long she wouldn't take her nap(s). She would fall asleep on our arms and boom! As soon as you lay her down, UP! For the past few nights its been the same way. But since Jeff is waiting for me to have dinner I tend to take shortcuts and I give in to her allowing her to fall asleep faster yet not on her own in the crib.
So tonight, with a belly happily full and lots of LOVE, I set her down to sleep, not once or twice, nine times! It took almost 2 hours. But she finally gave in and fell asleep ...all crooked but asleep!
Now I hope she stays in bed thru the night as she does most nights, except for the past two. ....hummmmmm, fat chance, uh?
Oh well, I do deserve a treat!

granted your computer screen colors are all different than ours... and day light, flash, etc... will aslo render a different color in our shiny monkey's eyes. but i felt this image was pretty good at showing how cool her hazel eyes are.

Dah dah is back from China!
It took her a few seconds to realize who was standing in front of her... But then a huge smile popped in her face and she leaned over grabbed Jeff's face with both hands and rested her face on his. There was an "ahhhh" chorus that echoed around us.
Jeff was gone for a week, he could tell that she grew in that time!
